Botswana Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS – BONEPWA was formed in 2000 as a national network for people living with HIV/AIDS. It works to improve the well being and quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS.
BONEPWA works to mobilize support groups in the Maun area to make concerted headway in changing the HIV/AIDS landscape. It works on various activities involving food security, condom distribution, education outreach, and income generating schemes. One project that has taken root has been to help support groups rear chickens with their small stock grant so that they can have a sustainable food source and a means to generate income.
