AGLOW International was founded in 1967 in the United States and the Botswana chapter has been active since 1996. Aglow is a not-for-profit, international Christian women’s organization designed to mobilize women around the world, promote gender reconciliation, and amplify awareness of global concerns that affect women from a biblical perspective.

AGLOW’s Care Centre for the Elderly Destitute works to help restore dignity to human life by give an opportunity for the elderly destitute, especially women, to age gracefully by providing quality care. The project in its formative stages but has begun to conduct outreach into the community. Last December, AGLOW invited 100 elderly destitute from the Boseja community to a Christmas luncheon where guests received a traditional Setswana meal and items donated by local businesses such as blankets, washing soap and kitchen items.
