About NCONGO

Who are we?

NCONGO was founded in 2008, as an umbrella body of NGOs dealing with social and economic development, after NGO Executives realized that NGOs in the community of Ngamiland needed to raise their profiles. NCONGO is a hub for capacity building, networking and communication in the region and NCONGO liases across sectors and advocates locally, nationally and internationally. NCONGO represents over 50 Civil Society Organizations in the Ngami & Okavango Districts and these organizations deal with HIV/AIDS, Orphans & Vulnerable Children, Community Based Resource Management, Youth Empowerment and Environmental Conservation.

To strengthen and build capacity within Ngamiland CSO’s so that they are stable, transparent, skilled, empowered, sustainable and accountable to their donors, responsive to stakeholders and beneficiaries requirements, and the needs of the voiceless and marginalized.
